And being 16, I loved it because I found it so relatable and I truly think it helped my family understand a bit more of what I'm going through. Also, the movie featured some great cars: mom had a 240 Wagon and the dad had a GTO. But, I really want to talk about this movie. Has anyone else here seen it? I want to hear your opinions and thoughts! WARNING: COMMENTS MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS!!!

I saw it yesterday. Loved it. I think more movies should be shot over the course of 12 years. Having the actors age naturally was a really neat thing to see on the screen. Plus, the characters were engaging, it was well acted, and as a fiercely proud native Texan, I love seeing the best parts of my home state up on the big screen.

Mt wife and I bowl at the same bowling alley as was used in the movie. In the movie it was supposed to be in Houston, but it's actually in Austin.

It was just really honest and true. And there really was great risk; he had no idea what would happen over that much time, so it was incredible to see it all pulled together.

Now I have a question here that my family and I differed in opinions on: do you think that their dad really went to Alaska? I don't think so but both my mom and aunt never even thought twice about it.

I think he probably did. I've got friends that went to Alaska to work for a while.
